Ward earns Clash on the Coash victory at Deep South Speedway

The IMCA Clash On The Coast resumed for Tim Ward on Tuesday afternoon with the final stop at Blackwater Speedway (formerly Northwest Florida Speedway).

Ward drew a tough pill in his heat, finishing seventh, and came up just short of the feature in his B-Main, running 14th-to-sixth and missing a transfer spot by two positions.

The action then shifted to Alabama’s Deep South Speedway on Friday, where Ward was nearly untouchable. He backed up a heat race win with a flag-to-flag victory in the 25-lap feature, taking the $1,000 payday by 0.833 seconds over runner-up Ethan Braaksma in the Doug and Amy Eckrich-owned No. 151 Performer Chassis Modified.

Ward wrapped up the fourth annual IMCA TV Clash On The Coast with a 14th-place finish in Saturday’s finale.
