Tim Ward heads south for IMCA Clash on the Coast

Tim Ward made the trip to Southern Raceway in Florida this past weekend to pilot the Doug and Amy Eckrich-owned No. 151 Performer Chassis Modified.

The two-day program served as a tune-up for the IMCA Clash On The Coast, and Ward opened the weekend with a strong third-place finish in the feature, joining race winner Troy Morris III and Brint Wartwick on the podium. He followed that up with a sixth-place effort on Saturday.

Ward then traveled to Blackwater Speedway (formerly Northwest Florida Speedway) for the start of the IMCA Clash On The Coast. After participating in Sunday’s practice session, he delivered a solid performance in Monday’s miniseries opener. Ward earned a heat race victory and went on to record a seventh-place finish in the 30-lap feature, securing a top-10 result to kick off the week.
