Ward races into Friday's Wild West Shootout
Tim Ward returned to Central Arizona Raceway on Wednesday evening as the Rio Grande Waste Services Wild West Shootout continued with competition spanning Wednesday through Sunday.
Ward’s Wednesday night effort ended in a B-Main appearance, but the Harcourt, Iowa resident showed improvement on Friday. After qualifying fifth-fastest in his 20-car group, he raced into his first feature of the miniseries with a third-place finish in his heat race. His night came to an early end in the 30-lap main event, retiring with three laps remaining.
Ward’s Wild West Shootout concluded with a pair of seventh-place finishes in B-Main competition on Saturday and Sunday.
