Tim Ward tackles Gateway Dirt Nationals
Tim Ward brought his 2025 campaign to a close over the weekend, taking on the ninth annual Gateway Dirt Nationals at The Dome at America’s Center aboard the Doug and Amy Eckrich-owned No. 151 Performer Chassis Modified.
Slotted into Friday’s preliminary program, Ward opened with a heat race victory to lock himself into the 25-lap feature. However, his bid for the $5,000 payday and a guaranteed spot in Saturday’s finale came to a sudden halt, as he became the first retiree of the main event on lap nine.
Scheduled to start deep in a Saturday qualifier, Ward ultimately elected to scratch, officially wrapping up his Gateway Dirt Nationals weekend.
