Ward repeats at Boone Speedway

Tim Ward got a jump on the Labor Day weekend with a visit to 300 Raceway on Thursday for the 48th annual Yankee Dirt Track Classic.

Ward impressed early, surging from sixth to first in his heat race to secure a favorable starting spot for the feature. In the 25-lap main event, he climbed two more positions to notch a solid fourth-place finish.

After Friday’s program was washed out by rain, Ward returned to action on Saturday at Boone Speedway for the NAPA Auto Parts Prelude to the Super Nationals. There, he delivered back-to-back wins—charging from the sixth row in the feature and overtaking 11 cars en route to his second victory of the season.
