Tim Ward wins at Boone Speedway ahead of Super Nationals

Tim Ward’s double-duty weekend produced his first victory of the season behind the wheel of his Toby K’s Hideaway No. 4TW Modified.

His weekend opened Friday at Marshalltown Speedway, where the Malvern Bank East and West Series squared off in the eighth annual Dale DeFrance Memorial. After a broken belt in hot laps sidelined him from time trials, Ward rebounded with an eighth-to-fourth charge in his heat. In the $4,544-to-win feature, he advanced as high as seventh before a late shower forced officials to call the race after 30 laps.

Switching to his Modified on Saturday at Boone Speedway’s P1P Challenge – Watermelon Classic, Ward turned in a flag-to-flag showing in the feature. He crossed the finish line 1.179 seconds ahead of the field to secure his first victory of the 2025 campaign.

He also went 10th to 5th in the P1P Modified Challenge.
