Ward second in Harris Clash at Boone Speedway
Tim Ward began his race week on Monday, returning to the driver’s seat of his Modified for the Battle at the Beaver at Buena Vista Raceway. Serving as the opening round of the 2025 Iowa Speedweek, Ward’s night ended prematurely, retiring from the A-Main on lap 13 and taking 16th place.
On Tuesday, Ward rebounded at Boone Speedway during the rescheduled Harris Clash. After charging from third to first in his heat race, he drew the No. 2 pill for the feature and delivered a consistent run, finishing second at the checkered flag.
Continuing Iowa Speedweek on Wednesday at Clay County Fair Speedway, Ward overcame early adversity after a fifth-place finish in his heat. He gained three spots in the A-Main to cap the night with a 12th-place result.
On Thursday at Kossuth County Speedway, Ward converted a heat race win into a podium run, advancing from fifth to second in the feature behind winner Jeremy Mills, with Chaz Baca finishing third.
During a scheduled doubleheader on Friday and Saturday at Hancock County Speedway, Ward climbed into the top 10 early in the main event before a broken flywheel forced him out on lap four.
Saturday’s Night of 1000 Stars was canceled due to wet weather.
