Tim Ward debuts with FloRacing Night in America at Marshalltown
Tim Ward’s extended weekend of racing began on Thursday with a visit to Marshalltown Speedway, where he piloted his Toby K’s Hideaway No. 4TW Modified.
Carrying momentum from a fifth-to-first run in his heat race, Ward advanced nine positions in the feature to secure a strong third-place finish.
On Saturday, Ward returned to action at Independence Motor Speedway for a Malvern Bank East Series-sanctioned event. After setting the pace by leading the opening 14 laps of the A-Main, his night was cut short when contact with the wall forced him to retire under a lap-20 caution.
Back at Marshalltown on Tuesday, Ward joined a stacked field of 30 Late Model standouts for the fourth round of the FloRacing Night in America miniseries. He posted the 11th-fastest time in his qualifying group and finished third in his heat race. Needing a top-three finish in his B-Main to transfer to the $20,000-to-win feature, Ward fell just short with a fourth-place effort.
